John Agustus is the S/O WIlliam Wesley ECHOLS Sr & Ruth SIDNEY; Samantha is the D/O Hiram IRWIN & Sarah SPEARS. Both are buried at Morning Star Cemetery Hot Springs, Garland County, Arkansas, USA.

Marion Echols & Mary Eliza Hughs [Hughes] 17 Aug 1867 (Bk 4, p.46)

Marion is the S/O Jackson ECHOLS & Sarah "Sally" FOWLER; Parents for Mary Eliza are not yet determined. Burial locations not yet located.

**Some researchers show Marion's father's parents as John ECHOLS & Nancy MARRELL. They do have a son named John Jackson ECHOLS b. 1804 in Habersham County, Georgia but he married Sarah REGAN on 1 Oct 1837 in Habersham County, Georgia, USA. I do not believe that Marion's father, Jackson ECHOLS b. 1807 in Georgia is the same as John Jackson ECHOLS. Further, John Jackson moved to and died in Alabama. Marion's father, Jackson moved to and died in Illinois.

Martin V [Robert Martin "Bob"] Echols & Hetty Holcome [Hettie Jane HOLCOMBE] 18 Apr 1850 (Bk A, p.64)

Robert is the S/O Wiley Joshua ECHOLS & Nancy Melinda BROWN; Hettie Jane is the D/O John HOLCOMBE & Anna HOOPER. Burial location for Robert Martin not yet located; Hettie Jane is buried at Lost Prairie Cemetery in Groesbeck, Limestone County, Texas, USA.

**There are two death records for two of Martin's children that show his name as Robert, in one, and Robert Martin in another. I'm going to assume the "B" must be for "Bob" and not Brown (as others are showing). There is another Echols man named Martin Brown Echols the son of Luis Barton Echols and Emily Jane WEEMS.

**There is no "V" listed in the record or the records index. Hetty is listed as "Hetty Halcome"

Sidney F Echols & Mary ["Polly"] Echols 4 Apr 1850 (Bk A, p.61)

Sidney is the S/O WIlliam Wesley ECHOLS Sr & Ruth SIDNEY; Mary is the D/O Jackson ECHOLS & Sarah "Sally" FOWLER. Burial locations not yet located.

James Henry is the S/O WIlliam Wesley ECHOLS Sr & Ruth SIDNEY; Susan's parents not yet determined. James Henry is buried at Godwin Cemetery in Hot Springs, Garland County, Arkansas, USA.

**Some researchers show James Henry as the S/O Jackson ECHOLS & Sarah "Sally" FOWLER. I do not believe this is correct. More research would be needed. If anyone has proof of James Henry ECHOLS' parents please contact me.

**Susan Rolls is shown as 18 years old and listed as "Mrs." Was she married before?

William Abner is the S/O John Augustus ECHOLS & Samantha Jane IRWIN; Ella Lucy's parents not yet determined. Both are buried at Oak Grove Cemetery in Conway, Faulkner County, Arkansas, USA.

**Record shows him as "William A Echols." "Lucy" is not shown in the record.

I believe John Jackson ECHOLS is the S/O John ECHOLS &apm; Nancy MERRELL. I have not determined the parents of THIS Jackson ECHOLS yet, nor have I found burial locations for Jackson or Lavinia. If you have any details on this family please contact me.

**Levinia's name on the record is "Levinia Neail."

**This Jackson, I believe, is getting confused with John Jackson Echols. This Jackson (b: 1807 in Georgia; d: 1858 in Union County, Illinois) married Sarah "Sally" FOWLER (b: 1802 in Wake County, North Carolina; d: 1877 in ?) on 23 Aug 1827 in Union County, Illinois, USA. John Jackson ECHOLS (b: 1804 in Habersham County, Georgia, d: 1886 in Jefferson County, Alabama and married Sarah REGAN (b: 1816 in Newberry County, South Carolina; d: 1883 in Jefferson County, Alabama) on 1 Oct 1837 in Habersham County, Georgia. John Jackson ECHOLS & Sarah REGAN went from Georgia to Alabama and Jackson ECHOLS & Sarah "Sally" FOWLER went from Georgia to Union County, Illinois.

**Actual record shows his name as "ECKLES," not "ECHOLS."

**There appears to be much research on these individuals done at FamilySearch. This part of the ECCLES/ECKLES/ECHOLS/ECKLES line appears to go all the way back to the Laird of Kildonan. I have this line as far back as Edward ECKLES that married Mary JACKSON. That's as far as I have been able to go.

**James Rufus & Eva Peterson were married in Chicot County, Arkansas.

**Marriage record shows names as "J R Echols" & "Eva Petterson"

**James Rufus Echols appears to trace back to the Laird of Kildonan. There appears to be much research on these individuals done at FamilySearch. This part of the ECCLES/ECKLES/ECHOLS/ECKLES line appears to go all the way back to the Laird of Kildonan. I have this line as far back as Edward ECKLSE that married Mary JACKSON. That's as far as I have been able to go.
